The Murray Foundation Losing a limb is a very traumatic experience, which can affect many aspects of your life. Whilst your physical needs are well catered for, there are a number of other needs that also require attention. Such as information regarding the rehabilitation process, emotional support from those with a similar experience, and help to alleviate any sense of isolation that you may be feeling. To try and address these needs, the Murray Foundation has established this web site to provide some of the information and advice required as you begin to move forward in your new life.
Sir David Murray
"We offer a support service in a friendly and efficient way thereby helping amputees and their families adjust to their new lives."

The Murray Foundation was established by Sir David Murray in 1996 as a support service for those affected by limb loss or absence. Since that time the Foundation has grown significantly in terms of the range of support and advice that we are able to offer.
Susan Shaw Director

The Murray Foundation was awarded The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (formerly known as The Queen's Golden Jubilee Award) given for outstanding achievement by groups of volunteers who regularly devote their time to helping others in the community and improve the quality of life and opportunity for others whilst providing an outstanding service.

In February of this year the decision was made to close the Murray Foundation office at Ibrox . The Foundation has had a “home” at Ibrox since we began over 12 years ago. The main activities of the Murray Foundation i.e. providing information, support and counselling to all those affected by limb loss or absence in Scotland – will not be affected by the office closure. However we do have new contact details.
