The Murray Foundation This event aimed to give people with limb absence and their families the opportunity to spend a day on, in or under the water.
The day began with the opportunity to sail by yacht or powerboat under the bridges across the Forth. This was followed by exclusive use of the Olympic size Commonwealth swimming pool. Qualified swimming coaches took small group sessions for all swimming levels from beginners to stroke development and free swimming opportunities were available for anyone wanting just to get back into the water. Scuba diving experts introduced their sport to first timers or experienced divers and diving lessons on the diving boards were available from qualified staff.
