The Murray Foundation This is an event that provides something for all amputees and their families. It takes place on the shores of Castle Semple Loch in acres of wood and parkland at the Castle Semple Visitors Centre near Lochwinnoch.
Sir David Murray, Chairman of the Murray Foundation said:
"Castle Semple Fun Day is a great opportunity for amputees of all ages to get together and enjoy what is always a fantastic day out. People can come and participate in an activity, which they haven't tried before, or they can simply take advantage of this beautiful location. The event also gives amputees and their families the opportunity to meet a whole new social circle and maybe develop new friendships."
Activities are carefully chosen to suit all ages from 6 to 86. These include target archery, guided walks, bird watching, canoeing, power boating (with wheelchair access), cycling, bouncy castle, treasure trail, 4x4 Woodland safari, Quad bikes and many more. All activities are fully supervised by qualified Park Rangers and all necessary equipment is supplied. Lunch is provided and the day's activities culminate with a barbecue for all.
