The Murray Foundation Various forms of complementary therapy are used in the U.K. to help in pain relief, some offered within the NHS. With this in mind and in an attempt to offer a different approach to the problem of pain suffered by amputees, the Murray Foundation decided to organise Complementary Therapy Days.
The aim of these days was to enable amputees from throughout Scotland to have the opportunity to try out some complementary therapies for themselves.
Trained therapists in Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Yoga, Indian head massage and Bowen therapy were on hand to talk to the participants, explain their therapy and apply treatments.
