Prosthetics Demonstration Day

The idea of the Prosthetic Demonstration day is to offer amputees a balanced insight into some of the new prosthetic componentry being introduced into the market place. Consumers and professionals in the field of prosthetics come along to learn about the selected products being showcased by the prosthetic companies.

The participants are split into groups consisting of both consumers and professionals and spend time with each company. The companies give an explanatory talk and then demonstrate their products, usually on an amputee. Time is then available for discussions between the presenters and the audience before the groups moved on to their next presentation. This proves an educational experience for everyone involved.
