ADVOCACY – PILOT PROJECT

The Murray Foundation has been looking at the possibility of setting up an advocacy service to help people with limb loss deal with some of the problems and issues that arise in their life. This could be difficulties with benefits, housing, adaptations or community services – issues which for many reasons people sometimes find themselves unable to cope with. Beginning in April 2007 the Murray Foundation will initiate a one-year feasibility study to establish the need and format of an Advocacy service with a Murray Foundation volunteer working on the project one day per week.
