SUPPORT GROUPS

After undergoing amputation surgery you may be experiencing a great sense of isolation. Finding out what life is like for other amputees is critical to the recovery process. Those who have learned to cope successfully with limb loss have a valuable in-sight to share. They can help you accept reality, cope with painful emotions and develop a positive attitude to your situation.

Since 1996 the Murray Foundation has established a range of inpatient and community support groups. We have also formed links with some previously formed groups. Although they are run as independent organisations each group is linked to the Foundation by way of a series of "Executive Committee" meetings where each group can share information and inform other groups of the various activities they are undertaking.

PLEASE CONTACT THE GROUPS USING THE DETAILS BELOW OR THROUGH THE MURRAY FOUNDATION OFFICE.
